In the fourth quarter of 2022, the performance of the top 5 convenience store apps on iOS in South Africa showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a detailed look at each app's performance based on Sensor Tower data.
FreshStop Rewards & Save experienced a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads throughout Q4 2022. Starting with 120 downloads in the week of September 26, it saw a slight decrease, bottoming out at 57 downloads in the week of November 28. The app closed the quarter with 56 downloads in the last week of December. Despite these changes, there was no significant revenue generated during this period.
Good To Go & My Good Rewards showed a downward trend in weekly downloads. The app began the quarter with 52 downloads in the week of September 26, dropping sharply to just 2 downloads by the week of December 19. Similar to FreshStop Rewards & Save, this app did not generate any revenue during the quarter.
Dollar General had minimal activity in terms of weekly downloads. The app saw a peak of 19 downloads in the week of October 10, but there was no notable activity or revenue generation for the rest of the quarter.
7-ELEVEN displayed very low download numbers, with only 1 download in the week of October 17 and a slight increase to 6 downloads in the week of December 19. There was no recorded revenue for this app during Q4 2022.
7-Eleven Norge showed a similar trend with minimal downloads. The highest number of weekly downloads was 4 in the week of October 24, with no downloads reported in several weeks of the quarter. As with the other apps, no revenue was generated during this period.
