In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top five Delivered Meal Kits and Specialty Foods applications in Italy demonstrated varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the trends for each app on a unified platform.
Vivino: Buy the Right Wine saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $8 in late September and peaking at $19 in the week of November 21. Downloads for the app showed significant growth, particularly in December, where numbers soared from around 5.4K in early December to nearly 15K by December 19. Additionally, the app's weekly active users increased from approximately 46.5K in late September to a peak of about 87.9K in mid-December.
HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, though there was a gradual decline from approximately 2.4K in late September to around 838 by the end of December. The app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at about 12.7K at the beginning of the quarter and ending with around 12.1K by late December.
FROX had modest download numbers, fluctuating between 42 and 136 throughout the quarter. Despite these small numbers, the app managed to maintain a presence in the market.
CrowdFarming experienced low download rates, with weekly figures mostly in single digits and occasionally reaching up to 12. This app had minimal impact in terms of downloads during the quarter.
Green Chef: Healthy Recipes also had low download numbers, peaking at 16 in mid-October. The app's download numbers remained minimal throughout the quarter, indicating limited traction in the Italian market.
