Top Food Delivery Services in Saudi Arabia Q4 2022

The fourth quarter of 2022 saw significant activity in the food delivery app market in Saudi Arabia. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 apps: Hungerstation, Ninja - نينجا, ToYou Delivery, Rides & More, Jahez, and Shgardi | شقردي. All data is sourced from Sensor Tower.

Hungerstation demonstrated fluctuating download numbers, starting strong with around 64K downloads at the end of September and experiencing a dip to around 47K in mid-December, before climbing back to approximately 59K by the end of the quarter. Active users followed a similar trend, beginning at 982K in late September, peaking at around 1.2M in late November, and closing the quarter at roughly 1M.

Ninja - نينجا showed a notable peak in downloads, reaching around 77K in late October. The app's downloads fluctuated throughout the quarter, ending with about 48K in the final week of December. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 159K and peaking at 200K in mid-December, before slightly declining to 191K by the end of the quarter.

ToYou Delivery, Rides & More had a strong start with downloads peaking at around 75K in early October but saw a decline to approximately 29K in mid-December, recovering slightly to 36K by the end of the quarter. Active users showed some fluctuation as well, beginning at 244K in late September, dipping to around 203K in late November, and ending the quarter at roughly 216K.

Jahez saw steady download numbers with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter. Downloads started at around 32K and rose to about 41K by early December, maintaining a similar level till the end of the quarter. Active users remained fairly consistent, starting at 303K and ending at 307K.

Shgardi | شقردي experienced moderate growth in downloads, beginning at 17K in late September and reaching a peak of approximately 26K in the last week of December. Active users showed a steady trend with minor fluctuations, starting at 108K and ending the quarter at around 116K.
