During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 insurance applications in the United Kingdom showcased varied performance metrics in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Here's a detailed look at how each app fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Hastings Direct Insurance maintained steady weekly downloads throughout the quarter, starting at around 24.6K and ending the year at approximately 14.5K. The app saw a peak in active users at the beginning of the quarter with around 61.3K but experienced a gradual decline, finishing at nearly 49.3K by the end of December.
Admiral Insurance demonstrated a similar trend in weekly downloads, beginning at 15.6K and dropping to about 7K by the last week of December. Active users for the app showed a slight fluctuation but generally decreased over the quarter, starting at 89.6K and ending at approximately 73K.
MyAviva had a more variable performance in weekly downloads, with a notable spike in mid-December reaching 10.7K. Active users for MyAviva rose towards the end of the quarter, increasing from around 20.7K to approximately 21K in the final week.
Cuvva experienced a steady rise in weekly downloads towards the end of the quarter, peaking at about 11.4K in the week of December 19. Active user numbers for Cuvva also saw an upward trend, starting at 19.8K and reaching around 23.2K by the end of the quarter.
Confused.com had a more fluctuating download pattern, with a high of 9.4K at the start of the quarter and a low of 3.1K in mid-December. The app's active users also varied, beginning at 3.2K and ending the quarter at approximately 2K.
