In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 utilities apps in the United Kingdom showed varied performance metrics in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the trends for Google, Google Chrome, Amazon Fire TV, My O2 - UK Offers, Data, Bills, and My Vodafone.
Google saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 78K in late September and peaking at 114K by mid-October. Downloads then stabilized around the 70K mark towards the end of December. The app’s weekly active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 15.5M throughout the quarter.
Google Chrome experienced a dip in weekly downloads at the beginning of October, dropping to 53K, but saw a significant uptick towards the end of December, reaching around 68K. The weekly active users for the app hovered around 27.4M, showing minimal fluctuations during the quarter.
Amazon Fire TV exhibited a notable increase in weekly downloads, rising from 24K in late September to about 48K by the end of December. The app’s weekly active users demonstrated a steady growth, starting at 88K and peaking at approximately 109K in the final week of December.
My O2 - UK Offers, Data, Bills showed consistent weekly downloads, with a peak of around 40K in late November. However, downloads dropped to 25K by mid-December. The weekly active users for the app saw a slight decrease from 190K to about 195K towards the end of the quarter.
My Vodafone maintained a stable download rate, averaging around 27K per week. The app’s weekly active users experienced a minor decline, starting at 570K and ending the quarter at around 563K.
