In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 air travel apps on the Android platform in the United States demonstrated diverse performance trends in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look at the data provided by Sensor Tower:
American Airlines experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 46K in late December 2022 and reaching around 47K by the end of March 2023. Weekly active users also showed a positive trend, growing from about 251K to nearly 248K over the same period.
United Airlines saw a similar upward trend in weekly downloads, beginning at around 39K in late December and ending the quarter at approximately 41K. However, weekly active users displayed more fluctuation, starting at 203K and ending at roughly 150K.
Fly Delta had consistent weekly downloads, with numbers fluctuating between 33K and 41K throughout the quarter. The app’s weekly active users were relatively stable, starting at 290K and ending at around 263K.
Southwest Airlines showed an increase in weekly downloads, starting at 31K and reaching 33K by the end of March. The weekly active users, however, showed a slight decline from 216K to about 162K during the quarter.
Spirit Airlines maintained a steady increase in weekly downloads, beginning at approximately 25K and peaking at around 31K. The app’s weekly active users also rose, starting at 57K and reaching about 61K by the end of the quarter.
