In the first quarter of 2023, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Sweden showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active user engagement. Here’s a detailed look into how each app fared:
Bolt: Request a Ride saw a relatively stable trend in weekly downloads, fluctuating between 2K and 3K. The app's weekly active users started at approximately 48K at the beginning of the quarter and experienced a slight decline to around 38K in early January. However, it rebounded and peaked at about 46.5K by the end of March.
Uber - Request a ride maintained a consistent weekly download rate, ranging from 1.4K to 2.7K. The active user base showed some fluctuations, starting at around 91K and dipping to approximately 77K mid-January. By the end of March, the active users stabilized around 85K to 90K.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had modest weekly download numbers, staying below 300 downloads per week. The active user count hovered around 4K throughout the quarter, indicating steady, albeit low, engagement from drivers.
inDrive. Save on city rides experienced low download numbers, generally below 300 per week. However, the app's weekly active users increased from approximately 700 at the start of the quarter to about 950 by early March, before slightly dipping to around 830 by the end of the quarter.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus had the lowest weekly download numbers among the top apps, averaging around 100 to 130 downloads per week. Despite this, the weekly active users showed a gradual increase, starting at around 660 and reaching approximately 800 by the end of March.
