Throughout the first quarter of 2023, the performance of the top five food delivery services on the Android platform in Malta showcased diverse trends in weekly downloads. Here’s a closer look at each app's performance based on Sensor Tower data.
Bolt Food: Delivery & Takeaway from Bolt Technology maintained a relatively consistent download rate. Weekly downloads ranged from around 400 to 700, with a notable peak of 738 in early February. The app saw a slight increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, reaching 705 in the week of March 20.
Wolt Delivery: Food and more from Wolt Enterprises Oy also showed a steady download pattern. The app experienced its highest downloads in early February with 798 and 779 in consecutive weeks. However, downloads gradually decreased towards the end of the quarter, dropping to 398 by the last week of March.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery from Uber Technologies, Inc. exhibited a more fluctuating trend in weekly downloads. Starting with 201 downloads in late December, the numbers decreased to a low of 73 in early March, before slightly recovering to 81 by the end of the quarter.
DoorDash - Dasher from DoorDash experienced a gradual increase in downloads. Beginning the quarter with 31 downloads, the app saw a steady climb, peaking at 69 in mid-March. The downloads then slightly declined, ending the quarter with 48.
Glovo: Food Delivery and More from Glovoapp 23SL had the lowest download numbers among the top five. Starting at 83 downloads in late December, the app's downloads fluctuated slightly, hitting a low of 33 in late February and ending the quarter with 37.
