The first quarter of 2023 showcased interesting trends for the top 5 miner games on Android in Madagascar. Here’s a closer look at how these games performed in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.
Mine Rescue: Gold Mining Games by Carry1st saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting from 22 in late December 2022 and peaking at 55 in mid-March 2023. Active users for the game grew from 99 at the beginning of the quarter to 159 by mid-March, before slightly dropping to 137 at the end of March.
Idle Miner Tycoon: Gold & Cash from Kolibri Games maintained a consistent revenue stream, with weekly earnings fluctuating between $6 and $10. Downloads experienced a mild decline from 34 at the end of December to a low of 17 in late February, before stabilizing around the mid-20s by the end of March. Active users showed a similar trend, starting at 114 and ending at 102 by the end of the quarter.
Gold & Goblins: Idle Merger by AppQuantum experienced a steady decrease in weekly revenue, falling from $63 at the end of December to $24 in mid-March, before a slight recovery to $33 by the end of March. Downloads were inconsistent, with a significant drop to zero during February, but rebounding to 35 by the end of March. Correspondingly, active users decreased from 90 to 52 by mid-March, before rising to 89 at the quarter's end.
Once Upon a Tower from Pomelo Games saw relatively stable download numbers, fluctuating between 9 and 21 throughout the quarter. Active users for the game remained consistently high, starting at 214 and ending at 207 by the end of March, indicating a loyal user base.
Lastly, Dig Deep by CrazyLabs LTD had a modest performance with weekly downloads peaking at 18 in late January, but seeing a significant drop to 7 by the end of March. Active users also showed a sharp decline, from 43 in late January to just 10 by mid-February.
