In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in Europe demonstrated varied performance trends. Below are the insights based on data from Sensor Tower.
Yandex Maps and Navigator from Direct Cursus Computer Systems Trading LLC saw a consistent rise in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 191K in mid-February. The app's weekly revenue had its highs and lows, with the highest being around $134 in the week of February 13. Weekly active users showed a slight increase from 9.4M to 9.7M throughout the quarter.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic by Waze experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, with a notable peak of about 195K in mid-March. Weekly active users hovered around 4M, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.
Google Earth from Google LLC showed a steady trend in weekly downloads, reaching a high of approximately 153K in the week of March 20. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, ranging from 1.1M to 1.2M during the quarter.

The app's weekly active users saw minimal variation, staying around 3.3M to 3.6M throughout the period. The app's weekly revenue had sporadic peaks, with the highest being around $55 in early January.
2GIS: Offline map & navigation by 2GIS had a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 107K in mid-February. Weekly active users showed a slight increase from 3.9M to 4.1M over the quarter.
