In the first quarter of 2023, the performance of the top 5 interactive story games on iOS in Europe highlighted diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared:
THTH: Love Is a Game NETFLIX from Netflix, Inc. saw a notable decline in its weekly downloads from approximately 289K in late December 2022 to around 26K by the end of March 2023. Revenue trends were varied, peaking at about $3.4K in the final week of December and experiencing fluctuations throughout the quarter, ending at roughly $1.1K in the last week of March. Weekly active users also showed a downward trend from 625K at the end of December to approximately 307K by the end of March.
Episode - Choose Your Story by Episode Interactive displayed a steady decrease in weekly downloads from 74.4K at the start of the quarter to about 33.7K by the end. Revenue saw a gradual decline from around $130K in late December to approximately $70.6K in the final week of March. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at around 134K.
Save the Bro: Help him Decide! by Brightika, Inc. experienced a decline in weekly downloads from 55.5K in late December to about 11.6K by the end of March. Revenue was minimal, peaking at roughly $251 in late January and dropping to around $14 by the end of March. Active users remained stable, with minor fluctuations, ending the quarter at approximately 90K.
Chat Master! from SUPERSONIC STUDIOS LTD saw its weekly downloads decrease from 27.2K in late December to around 10.8K by the end of March. Revenue was relatively low but showed a slight increase, peaking at around $60 in late January. Active users decreased from 73.8K at the start of the quarter to approximately 46.5K by the end of March.
Romance Club - Stories I Play by Your Story Interactive maintained a steady weekly download rate, starting at 21.7K in late December and ending at around 14.7K by the end of March. Revenue peaked at approximately $36.9K in mid-February and saw a gradual decline, ending at roughly $14.2K in the last week of March. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at around 303K.
