2026 State of Mobile is Live!

In Q1 2023, the top 5 navigation and maps applications on the iOS platform in Sweden exhibited diverse performance trends. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared during this period, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Google Maps saw consistent weekly downloads, peaking at around 10.5K in early January and maintaining a steady rate with slight fluctuations, ending the quarter at 8.8K. Weekly active users for the app remained robust, with a peak of approximately 2.14M in late February, and a minor dip towards the end of March, closing at about 2.09M.
Google Earth experienced a modest increase in weekly downloads, starting at 2.8K in late December and reaching about 3.7K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users followed a similar upward trend, beginning at 27.4K and climbing to nearly 29K by the end of Q1.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic showed varied weekly download numbers, with a notable peak at 2K in early March. Its weekly active users fluctuated slightly but remained relatively stable, ranging from 125K to 138K throughout the quarter.
Min Karta, developed by Lantmäteriet, demonstrated a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at just under 1K at the end of December and reaching nearly 1.4K by the end of March.
Trafiken.nu i Stockholm had an interesting trajectory with weekly downloads, beginning with 190 at the end of December and spiking to over 2.8K in early March. The app maintained a steady download rate, ending the quarter with 951 downloads.
