In the first quarter of 2023, the top five wellness apps on iOS in the United States showcased diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on Sensor Tower data.
Calm saw a steady revenue stream, peaking at approximately $1.2M in the week of January 9. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a notable increase to 106K in the week of March 20. Active users experienced a peak of 1.2M in the week of January 2, with some dips throughout the quarter.
Headspace: Sleep & Meditation experienced a peak revenue of around $676K in mid-January, while weekly downloads reached a high of 54K during the first week of January. Active users remained relatively stable, peaking at 502K in the first week of January.
ShutEye®: Sleep Tracker, Sound showed significant growth in revenue, reaching approximately $267K in the week of March 20. Downloads peaked at 124K in early March, and active users saw a substantial rise, hitting 179K in the week of March 6.
Waking Up: Meditation & Wisdom had a peak revenue of around $293K in the week of January 9. Downloads showed a high of 13K in the first week of January, while active users peaked at roughly 33K in the same period.
Reframe: Drink Less & Thrive experienced a revenue peak of about $269K in the week of February 27. Downloads were highest at 39K in the first week of January, and the app saw its active users peak at 83K in the same period.
