In Q1 2023, the top five adventure games on a unified platform in Africa demonstrated diverse performance patterns in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here is a closer look at each game's performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
Super Bino Go:Adventure Jungle from 1SOFT saw a peak in weekly downloads at the start of January with approximately 87.8K downloads. Downloads then gradually declined, hitting a low of 36.7K in mid-February, before rising again to reach about 55.6K by the end of March. Weekly revenue fluctuated slightly, peaking at $3 in mid-January and late March. Active users started at 356.2K in late December and fluctuated mildly, ending the quarter at around 327.8K.
Modern Combat 5: mobile FPS by Gameloft SE experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 26.9K in late December and peaking at around 40.9K in mid-March. Weekly revenue showed a general upward trend, reaching up to $300 in late March. Active users also increased consistently, beginning at 43.6K and peaking at 64.2K by the third week of March.
Cover Fire: Offline Shooting from Viva Games Studios had a stable performance in weekly downloads, starting at 22.3K and peaking at 24.8K in late March. Weekly revenue varied, peaking at $320 in late February. Active users remained relatively stable, ranging from 114.6K to 116.9K throughout the quarter.
Incredible Jack: Jump & Run by BrainMount Ltd showed a mixed trend in weekly downloads, starting at 20.7K in late December, peaking at 32.6K in late January, and ending at 21.3K by the end of March. Weekly revenue was generally low, with a peak of $8 in late March. Active users experienced an increase, starting at 136K and reaching a high of 158.7K by late January, then stabilizing around 140.2K by the end of March.
Red Ball 4 from FDG Entertainment GmbH & Co.KG saw a steady performance in weekly downloads, starting at 22.4K and peaking at 24.3K in late January, before ending the quarter at 22.6K. Weekly revenue fluctuated, with a peak of $162 in early January. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 184.9K and ending at 186K.
