In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 consumer finance applications in Austria showcased varying performance trends across downloads and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the weekly metrics for George Österreich, Mein ELBA-App, Volksbank ID, Bank Austria MobileBanking, and BAWAG Banking App.
George Österreich from Erste Bank und Sparkassen saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, peaking at approximately 8.3K in the week of February 20. The app's weekly active users remained strong throughout the quarter, ranging from around 848K to an impressive 987K by the end of March.
Mein ELBA-App, published by Raiffeisen e-force GmbH, experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at 5.5K in early January and dropping to about 4.5K by the end of March. However, its weekly active users showed resilience, ending the quarter with nearly 689K active users.
Volksbank ID by VOLKSBANK WIEN AG had more stable download numbers, maintaining an average of around 2.3K downloads per week. The app’s weekly active users hovered around the 180 mark, with a slight dip to 155 in late February.
Bank Austria MobileBanking, from UniCredit Bank Austria AG, showed an upward trend in weekly downloads towards the end of the quarter, reaching a peak of approximately 3.1K in the final week of March. The app's active user base was consistently strong, growing from 139K to over 150K by the end of the quarter.
Lastly, the BAWAG Banking App published by BAWAG PSK AG, experienced a steady download rate, averaging around 1.6K to 2.1K downloads per week. Its active user count remained relatively stable, with around 34K to 36K weekly active users throughout the quarter.
