Throughout the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 education apps in Egypt displayed varied performance metrics in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Data from Sensor Tower reveals interesting trends across these applications.
Duolingo: Language Lessons experienced a significant decline in weekly downloads, starting from 83.6K in the first week of January to 34.8K by the end of March. Revenue also saw fluctuations, peaking at around $4.5K in late December before dropping to approximately $1.3K by the end of March. Active users showed a gradual decrease from 161K in early January to 147K in late March.
Nagwa Exams saw a sharp drop in weekly downloads from 142K in early January to 21.3K by the end of March. Despite the decline in downloads, active users remained relatively stable, starting at 349K and ending at 258K. Revenue peaked at $133 in mid-January but fell to $70 by the end of the quarter.
Scientific calculator plus 991 maintained a steady performance in terms of downloads, ranging from 38.3K in early January to 25.3K by the end of March. Active users remained high, starting at 739K and ending at 720K, showcasing the app's consistent user engagement.
Aladwaa Education experienced a significant drop in downloads from 116K in early January to 15.6K by the end of March. Active users followed a similar trend, decreasing from 177K to 46.6K during the same period.
Bible App for Kids saw a decline in weekly downloads from 12.9K in early January to 15.6K by the end of March. Active users, however, remained relatively stable, starting at 28K and ending at 39.7K.
