2026 State of Mobile is Live!

In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 Film & Television apps in Mexico experienced notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. This report, based on Sensor Tower data, highlights the performance of ViX: TV, Fútbol y Noticias, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies, and Tubi: Movies & Live TV.
ViX: TV, Fútbol y Noticias saw strong weekly downloads, peaking at around 433K in the week of January 23. Revenue reached a high of approximately $208K in the first week of January, while weekly active users peaked at around 1.47M during mid-January.
Netflix maintained consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 220K to 320K throughout the quarter. The highest weekly revenue was about $61K at the end of February. The app's active users fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter with around 11.2M.
Disney+ experienced a peak in weekly revenue of approximately $657K at the beginning of January. Weekly downloads remained steady, ranging between 150K and 217K. Active users saw a slight decline, ending March with around 1.7M.
HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies had a notable increase in revenue, peaking at approximately $486K in mid-March. Weekly downloads peaked at around 206K in mid-January, while active users reached a high of around 1.67M in late February.
Tubi: Movies & Live TV showed consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 120K to 150K. Active users remained stable, ending the quarter with approximately 672K.
