The first quarter of 2023 saw notable trends in the performance of top fitness and weight loss programs on a unified platform in Germany. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user statistics for the top 5 apps, based on Sensor Tower data.
YAZIO Calorie Counter & Diet from YAZIO experienced a peak in weekly revenue at approximately $424K during the first week of January. Weekly downloads saw an initial surge to around 63K in the same week but gradually declined to 32K by the end of March. The app maintained a high number of active users, peaking at about 984K in early January and stabilizing around 898K by the end of the quarter.
komoot - hike, bike & run by komoot GmbH showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $163K in the final week of March. Downloads for the app rose steadily from 21K at the start of the quarter to around 29K by the end of March. Active users peaked mid-March at about 1.47M before settling around 1.31M.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter from MyFitnessPal, Inc. saw its highest weekly revenue in late January at approximately $68K. Downloads peaked in early January at about 25K and declined to 12K by the end of March. The app's active users showed a downward trend from a peak of 751K in mid-January to around 620K by the end of the quarter.
AOK Bonus-App (zieht um) by AOK Bundesverband had a significant spike in downloads in mid-March, reaching around 69K. Active users also saw a notable increase, peaking at approximately 158K during the same period.
Home Workout - No Equipments from Leap Health maintained a consistent weekly revenue, peaking at about $9.2K in early January. Downloads remained steady, with a peak of 23K in the first week of January and a slight decline to 12K by the end of March. Active users showed a gradual increase, peaking at around 123K by the end of the quarter.
