In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 food delivery services in Australia showed varied performance trends across downloads and active users. Here's a detailed look at each app's performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery experienced a consistent number of weekly downloads, starting at around 25.6K and ending the quarter with approximately 20.5K. Active users fluctuated slightly, peaking at 1.11M in the week of January 23 and maintaining a range between 993K to 1.06M throughout the quarter.
DoorDash - Food Delivery saw weekly downloads ranging from 20.2K to 23.3K, ending the quarter with 23.2K. Active users had significant variations, starting at 579K and experiencing a dip to 485K in early February, before recovering to end the quarter at around 542K.
Menulog - Food Delivery had a steady download range, beginning at 18.7K and closing at 13.9K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 200K to 220K throughout the quarter.
BWS on tAPP showed a notable spike in weekly downloads at the start of January with 23.4K, dropping to 4.3K by the end of March. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at 63K in late January and declining to 45.6K by the quarter's end.
Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery maintained a steady weekly download rate, ranging from 9.0K to 13.8K. Active users consistently increased from 200K at the start of the quarter to 231K by the end of March.
