In the first quarter of 2023, the performance of the top five food delivery services in Colombia on a unified platform showcased interesting trends. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a comprehensive view of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for Rappi: Market and Food Online, DiDi Food - Food Delivery, TiendasYa Domicilio de Bebidas, Frubana, and Uber Eats: Food Delivery.
Rappi: Market and Food Online saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting with around 52K at the beginning of January and peaking at approximately 71K in the week of February 27. The app's weekly active users hovered around 1M, with a peak of about 1.11M in mid-February. Revenue remained minimal, with only slight activity in March.
DiDi Food - Food Delivery experienced a consistent rise in downloads, from around 31K at the start of January to about 44K in early March. Active users fluctuated between 185K and 225K, showcasing stable user engagement throughout the quarter.
TiendasYa Domicilio de Bebidas had a varied download trend, starting with 19K in late December and stabilizing around 12K in mid-March. The app's active users were more consistent, ranging from approximately 26K to 37K.
Frubana showed a decrease in weekly downloads over the quarter, starting at about 5K and dropping to around 3.6K by the end of March. Active user numbers followed a similar trend, starting at roughly 14.7K and ending at about 12.9K.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery maintained a steady but lower download rate, with weekly figures ranging from 1.8K to 2K. Active users saw a slight decline, beginning at around 63K and ending the quarter at approximately 54K.
