In the first quarter of 2023, the gaming landscape in Ghana saw intriguing trends among the top 5 free-to-play games. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
LINE Rangers: Brown-Cony Wars! from LY Corporation experienced a fluctuating revenue trend, starting at around $2.4K in late December and peaking at $2K in early March. However, weekly downloads remained relatively low, with a peak of 36 in mid-February. Active users also showed a gradual decline, starting at 98 and ending at 49 by the end of March.
RAID: Shadow Legends by Plarium Global Ltd saw a significant increase in weekly revenue, starting at $1.5K and reaching approximately $2.2K by the end of March. Downloads were stable, peaking at around 564 in mid-March. Active users showed a similar upward trend, growing from 698 to 790 throughout the quarter.
Clash of Clans from Supercell exhibited a variable revenue pattern, starting at $899 and peaking at $1.8K mid-January. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 402 in early February. Active users remained strong, with a peak of 14K in early February and ending the quarter at 13.5K.
Candy Crush Saga by King maintained a steady revenue stream, peaking at $1.5K in early January and $1.2K by the end of March. Downloads were consistently high, peaking at 13.8K in late March. Active users remained robust, starting at 263K and peaking at 288K by the end of the quarter.
Frost & Flame: King of Avalon from FunPlus International AG showed a gradual increase in revenue, peaking at approximately $1.4K by the end of March. Downloads remained steady, with a peak of 180 in early February. Active users showed a slight decline, starting at 603 and ending at 467 by the end of the quarter.
