The first quarter of 2023 saw varied performances from the top 5 personal finance budgeting and planning apps in Italy on a unified platform. Here’s a detailed look at how these apps fared in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.
Splitwise experienced a steady performance throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads started at around 24K in late December and showed a decline to about 7.6K in late January, before stabilizing around 9K in March. Weekly revenue saw a peak of approximately $601 in late February, with fluctuations between $371 and $547 in March. Active users remained fairly consistent, starting from 68K in late December and peaking at 75K by the end of March.
YouApp - Banco BPM had a consistent download rate, starting from about 5.1K in late December and peaking at 7.2K in early January, then stabilizing around 5.1K by the end of March. Active users showed a slight decline from approximately 188K in late December to about 179K by the end of March.
Tricount - Split group bills had a fluctuating download trend, starting at around 11K in late December and dipping to about 2.8K in late January, then recovering to around 4.4K by the end of March. Weekly revenue peaked at around $463 in early January, with a steady decline to about $315 by the end of March. Active users showed a slight decline over the quarter, starting from 12.8K in late December and ending around 12.2K by the end of March.
Money manager, expense tracker showed a varied performance in downloads, starting at around 2.4K in late December, peaking at 4.4K in early January, and ending at 3K by the end of March. Weekly revenue saw fluctuations, peaking at approximately $367 in early January and ending at around $237 in late March. Active users started at 22K in late December and peaked at 29K in late January, with a slight decline to about 26K by the end of March.
Monefy: Money Tracker had stable download rates, starting at around 1.8K in late December and peaking at 3.7K in early January, then stabilizing around 2.1K by the end of March. Weekly revenue peaked at approximately $477 in early January, with a decline to around $184 by the end of March. Active users showed a slight increase from about 11K in late December to around 12K by the end of March.
