In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 social apps in Mexico demonstrated varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared over the quarter, based on data from Sensor Tower.
TikTok saw a fluctuating trend in weekly revenue, peaking at around $127K in early February. Weekly downloads reached a high of approximately 886K in the first week of January before stabilizing around the 700K mark by the end of March. The app also maintained a strong user base, with weekly active users ranging from 38M to 42M.
Facebook experienced a steady weekly revenue, peaking at $44K in mid-February. Downloads remained consistent, fluctuating between 447K and 544K throughout the quarter. Active users hovered around the 84M to 85M range, showing slight variations week to week.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat maintained a relatively stable weekly revenue, peaking at around $52K in mid-February. Downloads fluctuated between 11K and 15K, while active users ranged from 157K to 185K over the quarter.
Kismia - Meet Singles Nearby saw a peak in weekly revenue at $21.5K in mid-February. Downloads varied significantly, reaching a high of approximately 37.8K in mid-January but dropping to around 8K by the end of March. The app's active users showed a decline from around 58K to 35K over the quarter.
BuzzCast - Live Video Chat App had a peak weekly revenue of approximately $16K in mid-February. Downloads were highest at around 14K in mid-January but fell to about 3.6K by the end of March. Active users ranged from 87K to 121K throughout the quarter.
