In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 sports games apps on a unified platform in the Netherlands showcased intriguing performance metrics. Data from Sensor Tower reveals trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active user engagement for these popular apps.
Online Soccer Manager (OSM) by Gamebasics BV saw a gradual increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $47K in the week of March 20. The app's weekly downloads reached around 3K mid-quarter, while active users grew from around 56K at the start to approximately 69K by the end of the quarter.
EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile Soccer from Electronic Arts experienced fluctuating weekly revenue, with a high of roughly $47K in the week of February 27. Downloads varied throughout the quarter, starting at about 15.8K and settling around 8.7K towards the end. Weekly active users showed a slight decline from about 374K to 311K over the period.
Top Eleven Be a Soccer Manager by Nordeus maintained steady weekly revenue, reaching a peak of approximately $26K in the final week of March. Downloads saw minor fluctuations, with the highest being around 2.7K at the beginning of the quarter. The app's active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 24K.
8 Ball Pool™ by Miniclip.com demonstrated a consistent revenue stream, peaking at about $15.5K in the week of February 20. Weekly downloads varied slightly, starting at approximately 8.1K and ending at around 7K. Active users showed a slight decline from about 176K to 154K throughout the quarter.
Fishing Clash: Sport Simulator by Ten Square Games S.A. had a more volatile revenue pattern, peaking at around $17.3K in the last week of 2022 and then stabilizing around $13K by the end of March. Downloads were relatively low, with a high of about 1.9K in the week of February 27. Active users showed a downward trend, starting at about 2.8K and ending at around 2K.
