During the second quarter of 2023, the top communication apps on the Android platform in Ukraine demonstrated notable trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, reveals the performance dynamics of these leading apps.
Telegram experienced consistent weekly revenue, peaking around $23.8K in late April. Weekly downloads varied, reaching a high of approximately 70.7K in mid-June. The app's active user base remained stable, averaging around 8.4M throughout the quarter.
Rakuten Viber Messenger saw a steady revenue stream, with weekly earnings peaking at $3.6K in early April. Downloads fluctuated, hitting a high of 42.7K in early June. The active user count showed a slight decline from 7.6M to 7.2M over the three months.
WhatsApp Messenger maintained a steady download rate, with a peak of 39.2K in the final week of June. Active users displayed a decreasing trend, starting at 1M and dropping to around 912K by the end of the quarter.
My Kyivstar: mobile services had its highest download week in late April, with 36.8K downloads. Active users saw an increase from 927K in late March to 961K by the end of June.
Messenger from Meta Platforms Inc. showed stable download numbers, peaking at 44.8K in late March. Active users remained consistent, averaging around 4.4M throughout the quarter.
