In Q2 2023, the top fitness and weight loss apps on Android in the United States displayed diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's an overview of their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
Fitbit consistently maintained a high revenue, peaking at approximately $1M in the last week of June. Weekly downloads ranged between 25K to 36K, and active users hovered around 4.6M to 4.8M, showing a slight decline overall.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter experienced a steady weekly revenue, averaging around $300K. Downloads spiked to 107K in mid-May but settled back to around 22K by the end of June. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 515K and 555K.
onX Hunt: GPS Hunting Maps saw a modest revenue, with weekly figures ranging from $190K to $280K. Downloads increased from 11K to 18K towards the end of the quarter, and active users showed a gradual rise from 73K to 79K.
AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run observed significant growth in revenue, reaching nearly $200K by the end of June. Downloads also increased, peaking at 45K in late May. Active users grew steadily from 219K to around 340K by the end of the quarter.
WeightWatchers Program maintained a consistent revenue, averaging about $90K weekly. Downloads fluctuated between 5K and 8K, while active users ranged from 65K to 75K, showing a slight decline towards the end of June.
