The second quarter of 2023 saw significant activity among the top music and podcasts apps on the Android platform in Turkey. Here’s a detailed look at the performance of the top five apps: Spotify: Music and Podcasts, LMR - Copyleft Music, fizy – Music & Video, Apple Music, and Deezer: Music & Podcast Player.
Spotify: Music and Podcasts showed a robust increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $12.8K in mid-June. Weekly downloads fluctuated but generally trended upwards, reaching a high of about 71K in the week of June 19. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a slight decrease from 6.5M to 6.4M over the quarter.
LMR - Copyleft Music experienced consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $1.1K. Weekly downloads remained strong throughout the quarter, peaking at around 173K in mid-April. Weekly active users saw a steady increase, rising from 8.8M to 9.5M by the end of June.
fizy – Music & Video had a varied performance in terms of weekly revenue, which peaked at roughly $1K in the last week of June. Downloads saw significant growth, reaching approximately 39K in the week of June 19. Active users also increased, climbing from 146K to 185K over the quarter.
Apple Music maintained stable weekly revenue, with figures hovering around $800. Downloads saw a gradual increase, peaking at about 10.9K in mid-June. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 72K mark.
Deezer: Music & Podcast Player displayed a steady revenue stream, reaching a peak of approximately $737 in early June. Downloads varied, with a notable spike to around 6K in mid-May. However, active users saw a decline from 116K to 94K throughout the quarter.
