During the second quarter of 2023, Switzerland's top carpooling and ridesharing apps demonstrated diverse trends in downloads and active users. Here’s an overview of the performance of the leading apps based on data from Sensor Tower.
Uber - Request a ride saw its weekly downloads rise steadily throughout the quarter, peaking at approximately 6.9K in the last week of June. The app's weekly active users also increased consistently, growing from 221K at the end of March to around 260K by the end of June.
Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a significant fluctuation in downloads, with a notable peak of 5K downloads in mid-May. Active users for Bolt showed a steady increase, starting at 10.4K in late March and reaching nearly 14.5K by the end of June.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus had a relatively stable performance. Downloads remained consistent, hovering around 900 by the end of June. Active users showed a minor decline from 7.3K in March to approximately 6.9K at the end of June.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver maintained a consistent download rate, with a slight uptick to 728 downloads in the final week of June. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained around 10K throughout the quarter.
Cabify showed modest growth in downloads, peaking at 583 in the last week of June. Active users grew from 2.1K at the end of March to just over 3.1K by the end of June.
