In the second quarter of 2023, the top five fitness and weight loss programs applications on a unified platform in the Netherlands demonstrated diverse performance trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. This data, provided by Sensor Tower, offers valuable insights into the app market landscape.
Strava: Run, Bike, Hike saw a consistent rise in weekly revenue, starting at around $57K at the end of March and peaking at approximately $75K in mid-June. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of 8.5K in late May. Active users increased from 189K at the beginning of the quarter to 220K by the end of June.
komoot - hike, bike & run experienced significant growth in weekly revenue, starting at $12K and reaching nearly $47K by the end of June. Downloads also increased, peaking at 14K in mid-May. Active users showed a positive trend, growing from 111K to 128K over the quarter.
Fitbit: Health & Fitness maintained relatively stable weekly revenue, with a notable increase to $33K in the last week of June. Downloads ranged between 2K and 2.8K, while active users saw a slight decline from 74K to 69K throughout the quarter.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter showed steady revenue growth, peaking at around $28K in the final week of June. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a high of 5.8K in late May. Active users remained strong, averaging around 210K throughout the quarter.
Zwift: Ride and Run had a more modest performance, with weekly revenue ranging from $12K to $18K. Downloads were relatively low, peaking at 355 in late March. Active users decreased from 3.7K to 2.5K by the end of June.
