The second quarter of 2023 saw notable trends in the performance of the top five food delivery service applications in Colombia on a unified platform. Below, we delve into the weekly downloads, active users, and revenue patterns for these apps.
Rappi: Market and Food Online had a consistent presence in the market. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at around 54.5K in early April and the week of May 22, with a low of 41.9K in early June. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 1M, with slight dips and peaks throughout the quarter. Weekly revenue showed modest gains, reaching up to $2 in mid-April and mid-May.
DiDi Food - Food Delivery experienced a varied download pattern, starting strong at 32.9K in late March and experiencing a gradual decline to 23K by the end of June. Active users saw a significant increase to 331.6K at the end of May, followed by fluctuations, ending the quarter at 214K.
TiendasYa Domicilio de Bebidas saw a steady rise in weekly downloads, starting at 9.6K in late March and peaking at 15.9K in mid-June, before dropping to 12K by the end of the quarter. Active users followed a similar trend, increasing from around 27.4K to a peak of 33.2K in mid-June, then slightly dropping to 29.9K by the end of June.
Frubana had a more stable download trend, with weekly downloads ranging between 1.7K and 3.6K. Active users showed a gradual decline from 12.9K in late March to 9.6K in mid-June, before slightly recovering to 9.9K by the end of the quarter.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery showed the most stable download pattern among the top apps, with weekly downloads hovering around 1.4K to 1.8K. Active users saw a gradual decline from 54.2K to 45.8K over the quarter.
