In the second quarter of 2023, the top 5 navigation and maps apps in Russia showcased varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data from Sensor Tower.
Yandex Maps and Navigator exhibited a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 225K and peaking at around 319K by the end of June. The weekly revenue hovered between $2.5K and $3.9K, with a notable dip in late May. Active users steadily increased from 11M to over 12M throughout the quarter.
2GIS beta saw significant fluctuations in weekly downloads, beginning at about 105K and peaking at 265K in mid-June, before dropping to 67K at the end of the month. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, ranging between 5.3M and 5.7M.
Yandex Navigator experienced a steady weekly download rate, fluctuating between 137K and 178K. The weekly revenue ranged from $8.7K to $12.5K, with a brief peak in late April. Active users saw a gradual increase from 3.2M to 3.6M over the quarter.
Google Maps maintained a consistent weekly download rate, starting at 39K and climbing to around 49K by the end of June. Active users fluctuated mildly, starting at 4.1M and peaking at 4.3M mid-quarter.
GPS АнтиРадар (радар-детектор) showed a gradual increase in weekly downloads from 21K to 32K. Active users exhibited a steady rise from approximately 60K to 76K throughout the quarter.
