In the second quarter of 2023, the top five personal finance budgeting and planning apps in Germany demonstrated diverse performance metrics, with notable trends in revenue, downloads, and active user engagement. Here’s a closer look at their performance:
Finanzguru - Konten & Verträge saw impressive weekly revenue figures, peaking at around $85K in early April and maintaining a general upward trend, ending June with approximately $82K. The app also experienced a surge in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 38K in early May. Weekly active users fluctuated but showed a significant increase from 243K in early April to nearly 282K by the end of June.
Outbank: Intelligent Banking experienced a decline in weekly revenue from late March, starting at $18.6K and dropping to around $5.2K by the end of June. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 400 and 700.
Splid – Split group bills showed consistent growth in both revenue and downloads. Weekly revenue peaked at approximately $1.8K in late May, while weekly downloads reached a high of 14.3K in the same period. The app’s active user base increased steadily from around 40K in late March to over 56K by the end of June.
MoneyControl Spending Tracker maintained stable weekly revenue, generally hovering around $1.2K to $1.5K. The app’s downloads varied, with a peak of 2.5K in late June. Weekly active users remained steady, averaging around 32K throughout the quarter.
YNAB showed a slight decline in revenue, starting at $1.5K in late March and ending at $1.3K in late June. Downloads were relatively low, fluctuating between 80 and 170. Weekly active users remained stable, averaging around 900 throughout the quarter.
