The second quarter of 2023 saw varied performance among the top 5 personal finance budgeting and planning apps in Nigeria. Below, we break down the weekly trends in downloads, revenue, and active users for each app. This data comes from Sensor Tower, where more insights can be found.
Wallet: Budget Expense Tracker from BudgetBakers experienced fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at $38 in early May before declining slightly to $29 by the end of June. Downloads saw a spike to 241 in late April but remained flat for the rest of the quarter. Active users showed a downward trend, dropping from 1.6K at the end of March to 1K by the end of June.
YNAB, published by ynab.com, saw a significant revenue surge in mid-June, reaching $102, but ended the quarter at $21. Downloads were sporadic, with a high of 25 in mid-May. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 30-40 throughout the quarter.
Money Lover - Spending Manager from Finsify showed notable revenue spikes, especially in early May, reaching $67. Downloads peaked impressively at 2K in the same period. Active users also saw a significant increase, reaching a high of 2.7K in early May before gradually decreasing to 1.5K by the end of June.
Money Manager Expense & Budget by Realbyte Inc. had a relatively stable performance with revenue peaking at $37 in early May. Downloads remained consistent, fluctuating between 60-178 weekly. Active users showed a steady increase, reaching 1K by the end of June.
The Secret To Money by Rhonda published by Creste LLC, displayed a peak in revenue at $57 in early June but ended the quarter at $3. The app didn't show significant activity in terms of downloads or active users.
