In the third quarter of 2023, the top 5 tabletop board games applications on the Android platform in Africa showed varying performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Below is a detailed look at each app's performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
Yalla Ludo - Ludo&Domino experienced fluctuations in its weekly revenue, starting at approximately $12.7K in late June and peaking at $14.5K by the end of September. Weekly downloads saw a significant increase, particularly in early August with 165.6K downloads, followed by a dip mid-August and a recovery to 118.4K by the end of September. Active users displayed a downward trend from 887.5K in late June to 621.9K by the end of September.
Ludo STAR: Online Dice Game had a more stable performance. Weekly revenue declined from $5.2K in late June to around $1.4K by the end of September. Downloads remained steady, ranging from 6.1K to 8.8K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a slight decrease from 43.6K in late June to 37.4K by the end of September.
Backgammon - Lord of the Board saw a varied performance in Q3. Weekly revenue hovered around $2K to $3K, ending at $1.9K by late September. Downloads peaked at 6.3K in early September before dropping to 263 by the end of the month. Active users saw a notable increase from 15.9K in late June to 25.6K in early September, before dropping to 13.8K by the end of September.
Domino Cafe - Domino&Ludo showed consistent performance with a gradual increase in weekly revenue from $1.5K in late June to $3K by the end of September. Downloads peaked at 226.5K in late June, followed by a decline and a recovery to 66.1K by the end of September. Active users decreased from 984.5K in late June to 452K by the end of September.
TopTop: Games&Chat experienced a slight decline in weekly revenue, starting at $2.7K in late June and ending at $1.7K in late September. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 73.9K in early July and tapering off to 47.9K by the end of September. Active users increased from 488.2K in late June to 570.7K by mid-September, before slightly decreasing to 546.1K by the end of September.
