In Q3 2023, the top five fitness and weight loss programs on iOS in the United Kingdom showed varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. This data, provided by Sensor Tower, offers valuable insights into the market dynamics for these applications.
Strava: Run, Bike, Hike experienced fluctuations in its weekly revenue, with a notable peak of approximately $314K in the week of July 24. Downloads ranged between 15K and 19K per week, while weekly active users hovered around 450K, peaking at 448K in the week of August 28.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter maintained a relatively stable revenue stream, ranging from $161K to $196K throughout the quarter. Downloads showed a slight decline, dropping from 16.5K in early July to 13.3K by the end of September. Weekly active users also saw a decrease, falling from 816K to 715K over the same period.
AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run saw a steady increase in revenue, reaching around $76K in the week of August 28. Downloads, however, decreased from 18.1K in mid-July to just over 10K by the end of September. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, declining from 47K to 35K.
JustFit: Lazy Workout & Fit showed consistent revenue performance, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, peaking at approximately $32K in the final week of September. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 17.7K in late June and ending at 14.1K in late September. Active users saw a gradual rise, reaching 75K by the end of the quarter.
BetterMe: Health Coaching experienced a significant spike in revenue, peaking at around $32K in the week of July 24. Downloads were highest in late July at 18.2K but dropped significantly to 7.1K by the end of September. Weekly active users also saw a decline from 61K in late August to 33K by the end of September.
