2026 State of Mobile is Live!

During the third quarter of 2023, the top 5 books applications in Finland showed varying trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on Sensor Tower data.
BookBeat Audiobooks & E-books saw a steady increase in downloads, starting at around 2.7K in late June and peaking at 3.7K by mid-September. The weekly active users also demonstrated a consistent rise, beginning at approximately 83K and reaching nearly 89K by the end of September.
Nextory: Audiobooks & E-books experienced a more fluctuating trend in downloads, starting with about 2.5K in late June and slightly decreasing to around 2K by the end of September. Revenue peaked at $89 in the first week of July but generally hovered in the range of $32 to $71 throughout the quarter. The weekly active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 35K to 38K.
Storytel - Audiobooks Library had a more robust performance in terms of revenue, starting at $17.8K in late June and climbing to $19.9K by the end of September. Downloads showed an upward trend, beginning at 1.8K and peaking at 2.2K in mid-September. Weekly active users saw some fluctuation but generally stayed between 48K and 56K.
Särmä Plus had a notable spike in downloads, starting with single digits in late June and skyrocketing to over 4.7K by mid-August. The app maintained moderate download numbers, averaging around 450 to 600 in September.
Ellibs showed a steady increase in downloads, starting at around 490 in late June and reaching 1.3K by mid-September.
