In Q3 2023, the performance of the top dragon-themed games on a unified platform in the United States presented a mix of growth trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a closer look at the data from Sensor Tower:
Merge Dragons! from Gram Games saw consistent revenue throughout the quarter, peaking at approximately $1.6M in mid-August. Downloads experienced a decline from around 49K in early July to 35K by the end of September. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly between 524K and 550K.
Call of Dragons by Farlight Games had a notable revenue peak of nearly $1.2M in early July but saw a decline to roughly $870K by mid-August. Downloads decreased from about 30K in early July to around 10K by the end of September. Weekly active users showed a slight drop from 85K in early July to 61K by the end of the quarter.
Dragon City - Breed & Battle! from Socialpoint recorded a revenue peak of around $300K in early August. Downloads decreased from around 71K in mid-July to 48K by the end of September. However, weekly active users saw a steady increase, peaking at approximately 1.4M in early August before a slight decline to 1.1M by the end of the quarter.
Dragonscapes Adventure by DianDian Interactive Holding experienced a significant revenue increase, reaching about $670K by late August. Downloads peaked at approximately 163K in mid-July but declined to 44K by the end of September. Weekly active users saw a peak of around 353K in late July before a gradual decline to 270K by the end of the quarter.
Frost & Flame: King of Avalon by FunPlus International AG showed a consistent revenue trend, with a peak of approximately $770K in late August. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 12K in early July before declining to about 3.5K by late September. Weekly active users saw a peak of around 104K in early July, declining to 69K by the end of the quarter.
