In the fourth quarter of 2023, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Ukraine saw notable activity on the Android platform. Data from Sensor Tower reveals key trends in downloads and weekly active users for the top five apps in this category.
Bolt: Request a Ride had a consistent download pattern throughout the quarter. The app saw weekly downloads fluctuating between 17K and 20K, peaking at around 20.5K in the last week of September. Weekly active users showed a slight decrease from approximately 216K to 202K over the quarter, with a notable dip in early December before recovering to 210K by mid-December.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus experienced a moderate but steady download rate, with numbers ranging from 6.6K to 8.4K. The highest downloads were recorded in the final week of December at around 8.3K. Weekly active users for BlaBlaCar remained relatively stable, averaging around 85K, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.
Uber - Request a ride saw a more variable download trend, ranging from 4.1K to 5.4K, with a noticeable increase towards the end of the quarter, peaking at 5.3K in the last week. Weekly active users for Uber showed a slight decline overall, starting at approximately 109K and ending at around 94K, despite a peak of 115.5K in mid-December.
inDrive. Save on city rides maintained a lower but steady download rate, with weekly figures hovering around the 1K mark. The app saw an increase towards the end of December, reaching about 1.2K downloads. Weekly active users saw a decline from approximately 27.3K to 20.1K over the quarter, with a gradual decrease throughout.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had a consistent download rate, with weekly downloads ranging from 900 to 1.1K. The highest downloads were recorded in mid-December at around 1.1K. Weekly active users for Uber Driver remained stable, averaging around 6.4K, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.
