The final quarter of 2023 has seen interesting trends in the car gaming category for Android users in the United States. Data from Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into the performance of the top five car games, focusing on downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Chrome Valley Customs by Space Ape started strong post-release but saw a decline in revenue from $334K to $155K, downloads dropping from 30K to 7K, and weekly active users decreasing from 153K to 89K by the end of the quarter.
Huuuge Games - Play Together's Traffic Puzzle: Car Jam Escape had a modest revenue stream, maintaining around $17K to $24K, despite zero downloads recorded after the first week of Q4. Its weekly active users dwindled from 3.5K to 1.3K.
Hutch Games' F1 Clash - Car Racing Manager witnessed a revenue dip from $24K to nearly $11.5K, with downloads peaking at 3.9K and then settling at 1.1K, and weekly active users dropping from 14.4K to 10.4K.
The same publisher's Forza Customs - Restore Cars, a newer release, showed a revenue increase from $692 to $27K, with downloads starting at 7K and reaching 22.8K, and weekly active users growing significantly from 6.2K to 68.3K.
Lastly, Traffic Escape! by FOMO GAMES showcased a revenue fluctuation between $6.3K and $11.2K, with a remarkable number of downloads starting at 123K and ending with 120K, and weekly active users rising from 208K to a peak of 362K before settling at 344K.
