Top 5 Food Delivery Apps on Android in Costa Rica for Q4 2023

Throughout the fourth quarter of 2023, the food delivery sector in Costa Rica saw notable trends across the top five Android apps. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, sheds light on downloads, revenue, and active user metrics for each application.

PedidosYa - Delivery Online saw a consistent increase in downloads, starting at around 4.8K in late September and peaking at 7K by the end of October. However, downloads gradually declined to 3.3K by the end of December. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly but generally maintained a strong presence, beginning at approximately 201K and ending the quarter at around 199K.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery experienced relatively stable download numbers, ranging between 2.4K and 3.2K throughout the quarter. Active users started at about 47K in late September, with minor fluctuations, and ended at roughly 39K by the end of December.

Rappi: Food Delivery, Grocery had a noticeable decline in downloads from about 1.5K in late September to a low of 36 in mid-November. However, the app saw a recovery towards the end of the quarter, reaching 491 downloads in the last week of December. Active users showed a similar trend, starting at 53K, dipping to around 30K in November, and then rebounding to 52K by the end of the quarter.

Glovo: Food Delivery and More maintained relatively stable download numbers throughout the quarter, fluctuating between 298 and 366 weekly downloads. Active users remained steady, with minor variations, starting at around 62K and ending the quarter at approximately the same level.

Uber Eats Orders had stable download figures, ranging from 224 to 305 weekly downloads. Active user counts remained consistent, starting at about 2.7K and ending the quarter at a similar level.
