In Q4 2023, the top 5 medical apps on the Android platform in the United Kingdom exhibited various trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance:
NHS App saw weekly downloads peaking at around 22K in early October but gradually declined to approximately 13K by the end of December. The app’s active users fluctuated, reaching a high of about 537K in mid-October before dropping to nearly 365K in the last week of December.
Patient Access experienced a steady download rate, with notable peaks in mid-October and mid-November at around 7K downloads. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 28K throughout the quarter but saw a slight decline to approximately 22K by the end of December.
Pharmacy2U NHS Prescriptions had a mixed trend in downloads, peaking at about 5.3K in early October and gradually decreasing to around 1.6K by the end of December. Active users showed a steady increase, reaching nearly 15.4K in mid-December before dropping to approximately 11.6K in the final week of the year.
MyChart downloads were highest in the second week of October, with around 5.7K, but saw a downward trend, ending the quarter with just over 1K downloads. Active users for MyChart peaked at around 16.3K in early October and decreased to about 8.7K by the end of December.
myGP® - Book GP appointments had a relatively stable download rate, with a high of around 2.7K in late September and a low of about 867 in mid-November. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at approximately 8.5K in late September and dipping to around 5.1K by the end of December.
