In Q4 2023, the top 5 navigation and maps apps on the Android platform in Chile showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look at how each app fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a steady increase in downloads, peaking at about 17.6K during the week of December 25. The app also saw a consistent rise in weekly active users, reaching approximately 441K by the week of December 18 before slightly dropping to 430K in the last week of December.
Google Earth displayed a downward trend in downloads, starting from around 4.7K in late September and ending at approximately 2.9K in the last week of December. Weekly active users also showed a gradual decline, from about 46.7K in late September to roughly 38.4K by the end of December.
GPS Maps, Navigation & Traffic had a fluctuating download pattern, with a peak of around 1.3K in mid-October and a low of 882 in the same month. The app's weekly active users saw an increase from about 1.7K in late September to roughly 2.2K by the end of November, followed by a slight dip to 2K in the final week of December.
GPS Earth Maps Live Navigation showed consistent download numbers, peaking at about 1K in mid-December. Weekly active users steadily increased from approximately 3.8K in late September to about 4.9K by mid-December, before a slight drop to around 4.7K in the last week of December.
Google Maps Go had stable download figures, with a peak of around 767 in mid-December. The app's weekly active users remained relatively constant throughout the quarter, hovering around 3.6K.
