In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top 5 navigation and maps apps on the Android platform in Ghana showcased varying trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
GhanaPostGPS from Ghana Post Co Ltd experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at 3.2K in late September and declining to around 1.6K by the end of December. The app's active users showed a gradual decline from approximately 29.9K to 25K over the same period.
Live Earth Map: GPS Navigation, developed by Seeda Lyara Apps, saw a peak in weekly downloads in mid-October at 3.4K, followed by a significant drop to around 1381 by the end of December. Active users for the app started at about 13.3K and ended the quarter at approximately 14.2K.
GPS Maps Navigation Live Map by Game Soft Studio 3D showed a rising trend in weekly downloads, peaking at 1.9K in early November before dropping to 468 by the end of December. The app's active users increased steadily from 169 in late September to 2.4K by mid-December, before falling to 1.8K at the end of the quarter.
Google Maps, from Google LLC, maintained a relatively stable download rate, with minor fluctuations, peaking at 1.8K in late September and dropping to 669 by the end of December. The number of active users remained consistent, starting at around 10K and ending at approximately 9K.
GPS Earth Maps Live Navigation by Cloud Park exhibited a mixed trend in weekly downloads, peaking at 1.5K in mid-November and stabilizing around 1K by the end of December. Active users increased from 1.7K in late September to a peak of over 3K by mid-December, ending the quarter at around 2.7K.
