The final quarter of 2023 has been eventful for the personal finance budgeting and planning applications on Android in the United States. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into the performance of the leading apps in this category.
Rocket Money - Bills & Budgets saw a significant uptick in downloads, jumping from 30K in early October to nearly 96K by the end of December. Weekly active users also rose impressively, from 560K to over 690K in the same period.
YNAB experienced a steady increase in revenue, from around 20K to 27K USD by the year's end. Downloads peaked at over 10K in the last week of December, and active users showed a modest increase from 42K to 43K.
EveryDollar: Budget Tracker reported revenues ranging between 20K and 31K USD, with the highest in the third week of November. Downloads saw a high of 10K in late October and late December, while active users showed growth, starting at 78K and reaching over 93K.
Monarch: Budget & Track Money had a varied quarter in terms of revenue, with the highest at 15K USD mid-November. The app's downloads were non-existent at the quarter's start but grew to over 5K by December's end.
Quicken: Budget, Money Tracker displayed a revenue trajectory that started at 7K USD and peaked at 10K USD in the first week of November. Downloads for Quicken were negligible until mid-October, after which they rose to nearly 4K by the quarter's end.
