Here's a rundown of the top five zombie games and their Q4 performances, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Zombie Tsunami, published by Mobigame SAS, continued to surge in popularity with downloads peaking at 195K in mid-December. The game's weekly active users hit a high of 2.65M in the last week of December, while revenue showed a significant spike reaching $257K during the Christmas week.
Next up, Plants vs. Zombies™ by ELECTRONIC ARTS maintained steady growth, with downloads climbing to 63K by the end of December. The game's revenue also saw an uptick, finishing the quarter at $104K, and weekly active users rose to a robust 522K in the same period.
Alda Games' The Walking Zombie 2: Shooter experienced a spike in revenue, reaching $265K in the last week of the quarter, alongside a notable rise in downloads, peaking at 77K in early December. However, its weekly active users saw a slight decline, ending at 209K.
VNGGames Studios' Zombie Fire 3D: Offline Game, despite being a newer entrant, released in March 2023, showed promising growth. Downloads for the game reached 38K in the final week of December, while active users increased to 65K, and revenue peaked at $227K.
Lastly, Zombie War - The Last Survivor had a different story to tell, with no revenue reported for the quarter. However, the game maintained a consistent player base, with weekly active users hovering around 112K by the year's end and downloads reaching 16K in the same period.
