As the year wrapped up, the fitness and weight loss category on the iOS platform in Europe saw significant user engagement. Sensor Tower's latest analysis reveals how the top applications in this segment performed in the fourth quarter of 2023. Here's a look at the trends for these leading apps.
JustFit: Lazy Workout & Fit maintained a steady uptick in revenue, ending the quarter with a peak of $118K in the last week of December. Downloads also surged in the same period, reaching 68K, while weekly active users climbed to 177K.
Yuka - Food & Cosmetic scanner showed more variability in its revenue, with a closing figure of $16K in the final week of December. The app experienced its highest download figures in mid-December at 71K, and weekly active users saw a year-end increase to 563K.
Strava: Run, Bike, Hike witnessed a notable rise in revenue towards the end of the quarter, reaching $621K. The app's downloads peaked at 72K during the Christmas week, and its weekly active users saw a significant jump to 1.75M in the same period.
AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run saw a fluctuation in revenue, with the last week of December bringing in $74K. The app had an exceptional spike in downloads to 137K in late November, and weekly active users reached 117K by the end of December.
Lastly, Mi Fitness (Xiaomi Wear Lite) did not generate revenue but showed strong performance in other metrics. Downloads more than doubled to 90K in the last week of December, and weekly active users also saw a healthy increase to 135K.
