The fourth quarter of 2023 saw notable trends in the performance of the top 5 hypercasual games on the iOS platform in the United Kingdom. Here is a detailed look at their downloads, revenue, and active users.
Block Blast! experienced a significant rise in downloads, starting from 16.2K in late September and peaking at 56.9K in the last week of December. Weekly active users followed a similar upward trajectory, increasing from 81.3K to 149.6K over the quarter. Despite these impressive user metrics, the game did not generate any revenue during this period.
My Coloring Book saw a dramatic spike in downloads, particularly in early November, reaching 114K in one week. However, this number gradually decreased to 6.5K by the end of December. Weekly active users also surged to a peak of 145.5K in mid-November before declining to 70.6K. Revenue remained minimal, with only a few dollars recorded in mid-November and early December.
QSWatermelon : Monkey Land showed a consistent download pattern, starting at 7.9K and peaking at 29.9K in the week of October 23. Active users grew steadily from 7.7K to 104.9K by the end of December. However, the game did not generate any revenue throughout the quarter.
DOP 5: Delete One Part maintained a steady download rate, fluctuating between 22K and 24.6K in October and dropping to 8K by late November, before slightly recovering to 17.6K in the final week of December. Active users increased from 33.2K to 51.1K over the same period. There was no revenue recorded for this game during Q4 2023.
Screw Pin Puzzle! had a notable increase in downloads, peaking at 38.8K in early November before declining to 5.4K by the end of December. Active users mirrored this trend, rising from 27.1K to a high of 98.2K in mid-November, then falling to 65K by the end of the quarter. Revenue saw a gradual increase, starting with negligible amounts and reaching approximately $1.2K in the week of December 18.
