As the year 2023 wraps up, we have observed the performance of the top Lifestyle applications on the iOS platform in the United States, according to data provided by Sensor Tower. Here's a look at how these apps fared in the fourth quarter.
Pinterest, despite not generating any revenue, saw a steady influx of downloads, starting at 267K in late September and spiking at 357K by Christmas week. Weekly active users climbed from 31M to over 32M during the quarter, indicating a strong and consistent user base.
Moving on to Amazon Alexa, the app experienced a notable surge in downloads, especially towards the end of the quarter, jumping from 86K to an impressive 481K in the last week of December. The number of active users also saw an upward trend, from 3.4M to nearly 3.9M in the same period.
Ring - Always Home maintained its momentum with downloads increasing from 109K to 266K by the end of Q4. Its weekly active users showed a slight fluctuation but remained strong, ending the quarter with 4.4M active users.
The Lemon8 - Lifestyle Community app saw a decline in downloads from 159K in late September to around 104K by the year's end. However, the weekly active users presented a less dramatic change, peaking at 355K in late November before settling at 291K by December 25th.
Lastly, Tinder: Chat, Dating & Friends continued to generate significant revenue, with a steady increase from $4.1M to $4.8M over the course of the quarter. Downloads saw a downward trend, starting at 152K and ending at nearly 130K, while weekly active users dipped slightly from 3.8M to 3.6M.
