The MOBA genre remains a competitive field on the iOS platform, with various titles vying for player attention. Data from Sensor Tower gives us a clear view of how the top MOBA applications performed in the United States during the fourth quarter of 2023. Here's a breakdown of their performance.
From Supercell, the Finnish game developer, Brawl Stars showed a strong Q4 with revenue peaking at $1.15M in the last week of December. Downloads also surged to 114K in the same period, while weekly active users reached a high of 3.24M mid-December.
Published by Shanghai Moonton Technology, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang saw its revenue climb to $606K in the third week of November. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight peak at 15.8K in the week leading up to Christmas. Weekly active users experienced a dip in November, dropping to 213K, but recovered to 250K by the end of December.
Riot Games' Wild Rift had a fluctuating quarter, with revenue reaching $417K in late November before falling to $170K in the final week of December. Downloads showed less variation, with a modest peak at 16K in November. The game's weekly active users hovered around the 190K to 200K range throughout the quarter.
The Pokémon Company's entry into the MOBA space, Pokémon UNITE, recorded its highest revenue at $122K in early December. The game's downloads and weekly active users showed a consistent upward trend, ending the quarter with 19.3K downloads and 159K active users.
Arena of Valor, by Level Infinite, maintained a lower profile in terms of revenue, peaking at $13.7K at the end of October. The game saw a modest increase in downloads to 4.8K and active users to 33.5K by the end of the quarter.
