The virtual pet category has seen varied performance across the top iOS applications in the United States during the fourth quarter of 2023. Here's a look at how the leading apps fared, with data provided by Sensor Tower.
Pokémon Sleep, published by The Pokemon Company, showed a revenue trend with a peak in late October at approximately $171K before settling down to about $89K by year's end. Downloads declined from roughly 19K to 9.5K, but weekly active users (WAUs) ended on a high note, increasing from around 312K to 322K.
My Cat – Virtual Pet Games by Akita Limited Liability Company displayed a revenue range between $39K and $50K, with a notable dip to around $38K in late December. Downloads spiked at about 25K in late November, whereas WAUs saw an upturn from roughly 47K to 55K during the same period.
MinoMonsters, Inc.'s Cat Game - The Cats Collector! experienced a revenue pattern with a high of nearly $29K in mid-November. Downloads remained under 2K for most of the quarter, and WAUs fluctuated slightly, ending at around 2.4K.
Pet Doctor Care games for kids, from Pazu Games Ltd, had a steady revenue trend, hovering around $12K, with downloads peaking at over 16K in late December. The app's WAUs saw a significant increase, jumping from approximately 13K to 25K.
Lastly, another Pazu Games Ltd app, Baby care game & Dress up, showed a consistent revenue trend with slight fluctuations, generally staying near the $10K mark. Downloads for the app surged to over 21K by the quarter's end, and WAUs more than doubled, reaching over 22K.
